Pam, who owns Inn on the River and serves as chef and operator for both the inn and Snyder’s Tavern, brought more than three decades of hotel and travel‑industry
Pam and Scott are the team behind Snyder’s Tavern, the cozy full‑service restaurant tucked behind Inn on the River on the banks of the Paluxy River in historic Glen Rose, Texas. Pam, who owns Inn on the River and serves as chef and operator for both the inn and Snyder’s Tavern, brought more than three decades of hotel and travel‑industry experience with her when she left corporate life, moved from Arizona to Glen Rose, and took on the challenge of restoring the historic riverside property and creating a welcoming dining space out of the former conference center. Together, she and Scott have poured themselves into preserving the site’s long tradition of hospitality that dates back to the early 1900s Snyder Sanitarium days, focusing on fresh ingredients, a frequently updated menu, and the kind of personal, family‑style service that makes locals and travelers alike feel like regulars.
